Back to School mass, Mon. Sept. 13

The Back to School mass will be this coming Monday, September 13th at 6pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Students are encouraged to bring any school supply items they'd like to receive a blessing for a successful school year.

A reception will follow mass. Please bring a side dish or drinks.

Taking Jesus to the Streets

On Sunday, January 31st, there will be a procession of the Blessed Sacrament from the KC Hall to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. This is being sponsored by the Youth Ministry and the teens. They have asked that all ACTS members be present in front of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 4:45pm to welcome the procession into the church. At that time, Father Dennis will deliver the Blessed Sacrament to Father David who will end the program with Adoration and Benediction.

If you have wondered how you can be a part of the "A" in ACTS, this is a wonderful opportunity to practice Adoration. Father Dennis is asking that the ACTS community of men, women and teens show their support for this.

The Knights of Columbus, members of St. James and Our Lady, and others will be invited to participate in the procession through the streets. They will begin the procession at the KC Hall at 4pm and move north on Austin Street to Court Street, proceed west to Guadalupe Street and then north to Our Lady of Guadalupe to welcome Jesus from the streets to the church!

An ACTS Community workday has been scheduled for this Saturday, August 15th, 8:30am – 11:30am at the Our Lady of Guadalupe playground site. Tools that will be needed are rock rake, wheel barrow, shovel and post hole diggers.

Back to School Mass, Tues., Aug 11th

The Seguin ACTS community will host a back to school Mass and reception on Tuesday, August 11th at St. James. The Mass will begin at 6:15 p.m. and a reception will follow in the parish hall.

School children are asked to bring their book bags for a blessing. Parents are asked to bring a side dish or dessert.

An ACTS Community workday has been scheduled for this Saturday, July 11th, 8am – 11:30am at the Our Lady of Guadalupe playground site. Please bring any tools that you have (pick ax, post hole digger, hammer, etc) if you feel might be helpful. For any questions, concerns, etc., you can contact Val Luna at 210.288.0287.

Also that morning some of the Women who are on Team will be preparing potato salad for their brisket & sausage plate fundraiser being held on Sunday, July 12th. The plates will consist of: brisket, sausage, potato salad and beans. Tickets are $6 each. If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, you can buy from them on Saturday morning or you contact Rita Ramirez.

Picnic at Nolte Island

We will have our first ACTS Community Gathering this Saturday, May 30th at Nolte Island. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served. If you and your family will attend, please bring a side dish or a dessert. Since we'll be outdoors you'll also need to bring chairs, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, canopies, etc. If you have any questions please call Nick Morgan t 830.556.2892.
